Job Description
Established manufacturing organisation seeks an experienced Heat Treatment Operator for immediate start. Permanent Contracts offered, varying shifts available, competitive rates of pay and progression opportunities provided.
As a Heat Treatment Operator, you’ll be part of a busy, forward-thinking team supporting the Forge departments by operating heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment to process aerospace components. Prior experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment, ideally within the automotive or aerospace sectors is preferred.
Heat Treatment Operator duties:
* Monitors temperature cycles and soak times
* Operate heat treatment furnaces and related equipment in line with production schedules and process requirements
* Load and unload components with care and efficiency, ensuring safe handling at all times
* Follows detailed work instructions and quality procedures to maintain consistent processing standards
* Recording process data accurately and reporting any deviations or anomalies to the team leader
* Maintains a clean, organised working area and complies with all health and safety regulations, including correct use of PPE
* Conducts basic equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness
* Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports lean manufacturing practices where applicable
Skills/Experience required for the role of Heat Treatment Operator:
* Prior knowledge of heat treatment processes or metalworking
* Able to read and follow written instructions and technical diagrams with accuracy
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and keen attention to detail
* Flexibility and a proactive attitude towards supporting colleagues and wider team activities

Hours of Work: Various Shifts Available
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
