Commercial Air Conditioning & Ventilation Engineer Location: Mobile role covering London & the Home Counties Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime available) Salary: Competitive, depending on experience – includes paid travel door-to-door + enhanced overtime rates The Opportunity Are you an experienced HVAC professional looking to join a company where your skills are valued and your career can grow? We’re a well-established and reputable mechanical services provider seeking a Commercial Air Conditioning & Ventilation Engineer to become a key part of our expanding team. This is a varied mobile role – no two days are the same. You’ll be working across a diverse range of commercial sites, including office spaces, leisure centres, healthcare, and education facilities, ensuring a full and rewarding workload each week. You’ll take the lead on planned maintenance, fault-finding, and reactive repairs on a wide range of HVAC systems, all while representing the business with professionalism and pride. What You’ll Be Doing * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning and ventilation systems (including AHUs) * Diagnosing and repairing system faults and failures * Pressure testing and recharging refrigerant circuits in line with F-Gas regulations * Replacing defective components and carrying out upgrades where needed * Checking and adjusting system controls (basic BMS knowledge required) * Documenting all work via a mobile field system * Providing clear updates and excellent customer service on-site * Taking part in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support What We’re Looking For We want someone who brings technical expertise with a customer-first mindset: * Qualified HVAC engineer with proven commercial experience * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Strong attention to detail and pride in high safety standards * Experience in both planned and reactive maintenance * A proactive team player with the drive to deliver quality work Requirements * City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Cat 1 (mandatory) * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent) * Full UK driving licence * CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) Additional certifications such as IPAF and PASMA are highly desirable.
