We are recruiting for a Herd Manager or ambitious Assistant Herd Manager to join a progressive dairy operation just outside Dundee – a thriving city on the east coast of Scotland, surrounded by rolling countryside, rich farmland, and dramatic coastline.

The Role:

Oversee daily operations of a well-managed dairy herd (or support the Herd Manager depending on experience)
*
Ensure high standards of herd health, welfare, and milk quality
*
Work closely with vets, nutritionists, and the wider farm team
*
Carry out key tasks including milking, calving, record-keeping, and breeding programmes
*
Help manage youngstock and general livestock routines
*
Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised working environments
What We’re Looking For:
*
Experience in dairy herd work – either as a senior stockperson, assistant manager, or manager
*
Good stockmanship and a calm, welfare-first approach to livestock
*
Milking and calving experience essential
*
Basic machinery and tractor work experience desirable
*
Enthusiasm, reliability, and a desire to contribute to a team-led, high-performance system
