This progressive, privately run farming business is launching a new 140-cow dairy unit in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The enterprise combines traditional values with modern, high-spec facilities to deliver excellent animal welfare, efficient milk production, and environmental stewardship.
The farm is well-equipped, professionally managed, and located in a truly stunning rural environment.
About the Role - Key Responsibilities:
As the Herdsperson, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day care and performance of the herd, operating brand-new milking systems and working closely with the owners to ensure high standards across all aspects of dairy production.
Core Responsibilities Include:
* Daily herd care, including feeding, bedding, and livestock husbandry
* Milking and maintaining milk hygiene using new systems and parlour technology
* Monitoring and supporting herd health, fertility, and calving
* Managing youngstock and assisting with calving and veterinary routines
* Maintaining records to meet assurance and compliance standards
* Working with owners to improve performance and efficiency
Ideal Candidate - Skills & Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in dairy farming or a dedicated herdsperson role
* Skilled in milking routines, calving, and herd health management
* Passionate about livestock care and high animal welfare standards
* Competent with modern farm machinery and technology
* Reliable, proactive, and a good team player
* A holder of a full UK driving licence
