Job Title: Heritage & Conservation Painters
Start Date: Immediate – Next Wednesday
Contract: Long-term
About the Role
We are seeking skilled painters to work on heritage and conservation projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most historically significant sites. Operatives will be expected to carry out a mix of preparation, repair, and painting/restoration work, always adhering to strict conservation and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and repair historic surfaces (wood, plaster, masonry) before painting.
* Apply paint, limewash, and other specialist finishes appropriate for heritage buildings.
* Work carefully on delicate or listed surfaces to preserve historic features.
* Maintain a professional and discreet approach on high-profile sites.
Requirements
* Proven experience in heritage or conservation painting/restoration.
* Skilled in surface preparation, traditional finishes, and paint application.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Must be eligible for security clearance.
Security Clearance
* Operatives will be issued a temporary security pass (48-hour clearance) before starting.
* Permanent security clearance required.
* Two forms of ID and Right to Work documentation required.
