Job description Class 1 Tramper Driver – Immediate Start | DN14 | £16 per hour Location: DN14 Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour Shifts: Monday to Friday Contract: Minimum 4 weeks (may be extended) Type: Temporary (with potential for ongoing work) Venatu Recruitment Group are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in the DN14 area, who are looking for an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join their transport team. The Role: * Operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with curtain sider trailers * Tramping work – nights out during the week required * Delivering goods across various UK locations * Completing all paperwork and vehicle checks in line with legal requirements * Ensuring safe and efficient delivery of loads Requirements: * Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence * Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience * No more than 6 points on your licence (NO IN10s, DRs or DDs) * Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph cards * Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious What You’ll Get: * £16 per hour PAYE * Weekly pay * Monday to Friday schedule * Work with a respected, professional business * Supportive and friendly transport team Immediate starts available To apply, please upload your up-to-date CV and a member of our team will be in touch. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service. Duties * Operate lorries for the purpose of transporting goods to various locations. * Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, including flatbed deliveries when required. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. * Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. * Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving. * Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries. Qualifications * Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Experience as a Delivery Driver or in commercial driving is preferred. * Familiarity with flatbed operations is advantageous but not essential. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. * Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
