HGV Class 1 Trunk Driver – Days | Leyton | £19.22 per hour (£770+ per week)
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 driver looking for a stable, ongoing role with great pay and a reliable schedule? Aligra is recruiting on behalf of our client for 3 skilled HGV 1 Trunk Drivers to operate depot-to-depot trunk routes based in the Leyton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who enjoy a consistent day-shift pattern and want to work with a well-established logistics partner.
The role involves working 5 days on, 3 days off, with start times between 4 am and 12 noon, offering a degree of flexibility to fit your lifestyle. If you have a minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 experience and a clean driving record with no more than 3 points, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Key responsibilities:
  * Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle on scheduled trunk routes between depots
  * Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  * Manage some manual handling duties related to loading/unloading at depots
  * Maintain accurate logs and records as required by transport regulations
  * Adhere to company policies, health & safety standards, and legal requirements
  * Communicate effectively with depot staff and transport managers
Candidate requirements:
  * Valid HGV Class 1 licence with at least 1 year of professional driving experience
  * Clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points
  * Ability to start shifts between 4 am and 12 noon
  * Physically fit for some manual handling tasks
  * Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety and professionalism
