Job Description
HGV2 ADR Driver 34K-36K (Crawley)
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
As a Driver, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of goods while ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and compliance with all regulations.
Forklift experience preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided. An ADR qualification would be extremely beneficial, but training will be provided early on for a suitable candidate.
Duties:
*
Operate our own lorry to transport goods to various locations efficiently and safely.
*
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
*
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
*
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
*
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery
schedules and any potential delays.
*
Assist in loading and unloading as required, ensuring proper handling to
prevent damage.
*
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.
* Assist in the warehouse when not on the road by loading and unloading vehicles using forklifts.
Requirements:
*
Valid Class 2 driving licence with a clean driving record.
*
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably Class 2 or Class 1.
*
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
*
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
*
Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks.
*
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and
customers.
*
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
