Job Summary:
Corr Recruitment are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join one of our refuse collection team based in the New Forest area. This role involves working as part of a crew to carry out curb side waste and recycling collections from residential properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work in a vital public service role.
Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: New Forest
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: £15.72 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday
Time: between 6/8am start (8 hour shift) – (timings will be updated soon)
Duties:
* Operate a Class 2 vehicle to collect waste, recycling, and garden refuse
* Safely reverse with guidance from a trained crew member
* Support loaders when needed to maintain efficient collections
* Follow designated routes across rural and urban areas
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
* Complete route paperwork and system logs accurately
* Respond promptly to supervisor instructions and route changes
* Comply with all driving laws and working time regulations
Requirements:
* Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
* CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Physically fit – some manual handling involved
* Good team player with a professional attitude
* Refuse collection experience (preferred, not essential)
* Knowledge of the New Forest area is a plus
