HGV DRIVER REQUIRED
CANNOCK
IMMEDIATE STARTS
Responsibilities
* Operate lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring that goods are secured properly for transportation.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Handle any issues that may arise during transit, including vehicle breakdowns or route changes.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
* Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
* Ability to operate flatbed lorries effectively, including securing loads appropriately.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
* Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges during transportation.
* Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism on the road.
