About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV 2 Driver to join our team, delivering clean linen to various customers including hotels, holiday rentals, and other hospitality venues. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for someone who enjoys early starts, takes pride in punctual and professional service, and is capable of handling heavy loads safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Load clean linen (in cages) onto the vehicle at the depot.
* Deliver linen to a scheduled list of destinations across the region.
* Unload clean linen and collect dirty linen in return (in cages).
* Return to the depot with dirty linen and unload.
* Operate a tail lift safely and correctly during loading and unloading.
* Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
* Communicate clearly and courteously with customers and depot staff.
Requirements:
* Valid HGV 2 (Category C) driving licence.
* Minimum 1 year of experience driving an HGV 2 vehicle.
* Confident and competent in operating a tail lift.
* Excellent physical fitness – the role involves repetitive heavy lifting and pushing cages.
* A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
* Punctuality, reliability, and a customer-focused approach.
* Good understanding of health and safety practices.
Desirable:
* CPC qualification and valid Digital Tachograph card.
* Previous experience in a laundry or multi-drop delivery environment.
