Job Description
HGV Auto Electrician needed in Billingham:
Basic salary c. £35,802.
OTE of c. £40,000.
45 hours per week.
Overtime available.
Our client is seeking applications from experienced Auto Electricians.
Opportunity to work for one of the UK’s most reputable commercial vehicle specialists.Our client, a market leading commercial vehicle business, is seeking an Auto Electrician to join their team in their busy Billingham branch.
What will the successful Auto Electrician do?
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on HGVs
Install, maintain, and repair vehicle wiring systems and electrical components
Work on lighting systems, indicators, and electrical braking systems
Service and repair starters, alternators, and battery systems
Diagnose and fix faults with ECU systems
Install and configure telematics, tracking devices, and cameras
Maintain and repair air conditioning electrical systems
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and vehicle standards
Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues
Prepare vehicles for MOT by checking and repairing electrical faults
Work from wiring diagrams and technical manuals
Keep accurate records of repairs and parts usedThe successful MET Technician will have:
Level 2 qualification or equivalent (NVQ/City & Guilds).
A “can do” attitude and the ability to overcome problems.
Significant experience installing electrical items to vehicles.
Full UK Driving Licence.The successful MET Technician will get:
Basic salary c. £35,802.
OTE of c. £40,000.
