Job Title: HGV Branch Manager
Location: Bristol, UK
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + Company Car + Performance Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
About the Company: We are a leading provider of fleet maintenance solutions across the UK, supporting some of the country’s most recognisable logistics and transport businesses. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced and driven HGV Branch Manager to lead operations at our busy Bristol depot.
The Role: As the HGV Branch Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficient workshop management, exceptional customer service, and the highest standards of compliance and safety. You will manage a team of technicians, service advisors, and admin staff while acting as the key point of contact for clients and head office.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring HGV maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Manage, coach, and support a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
Drive performance to meet KPIs related to customer satisfaction, profitability, compliance, and turnaround times.
Maintain strong client relationships and act as the escalation point for service-related issues.
Ensure all health & safety and DVSA compliance standards are consistently met.
Monitor workshop productivity, scheduling, and resource planning.
Oversee budgeting, cost control, and stock management.
Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.Requirements:
Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within HGV maintenance or commercial vehicle workshops.
Strong understanding of HGV mechanical and technical requirements.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Sound knowledge of health & safety and fleet compliance (DVSA, LOLER, etc.).
Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
IT literate with experience using fleet or workshop management systems.What’s on Offer:
