Job Description

HGV Class 1 & 2 Driver

Location: Welwyn Garden City / Wembley

Pay Rate: £19.00 - £28.50 per hour

Working Hours: Tuesday to Friday 0730-16:15 based in Welwyn Garden City

Saturday 08:00-16:45 based in Wembley

Our client based in Welwyn Garden City & Wembley is a supplier of Mediterranean food products using temperature-controlled vehicles to stores in and around London.

HGV Class 1 & 2 Driver Responsibilities:

  * Mixture of trunking, shunting and store deliveries

  * Load a temperature controlled vehicle

  * When doing store deliveries you will work with a drivers mate to carry out 10-12 drops a day to stores in and around London.

  * When trunking it will be between Welwyn Garden City and Wembley

  * Deliver directly to customers premises

  * Carry out vehicle inspections at the start of each shift and report any faults to the line manager

  * Debrief at the end of each day

HGV Class 1 & 2 driver, essential requirements:

  * Full UK Licence category C+E held for at least 1 year

  * Valid CPC and digi tacho card

  * Over 25 due to insurance

  * At least 6 months experience driving a Class 1 Truck in the last 12 months

Position starts as soon as possible
