HGV ADR Class 1 Driver (Asbestos Specialist) – £60,000+ Potential
Base Location: Essex, England (Nationwide travel across the UK)
Salary: £42,000 per annum + £55.00 Nights Out (Average Earnings £60,000+)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays available as overtime)
Type: Temp-to-Perm (10 weeks via agency, then direct contract)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Driving a Class 1 HGV across the UK, delivering and collecting large container skips containing regulated hazardous waste.
*
No handballing. No multidrop. Just straightforward, professional logistics work.
*
Transporting and depositing materials at designated licensed disposal sites nationwide.
*
Jobs are allocated dynamically through the week — no two days are the same.
*
Start times vary between 5am–8am, depending on your route and collection point.
Life on the Road:
*
Nights away are required – you’ll tramp out during the week as part of the role.
*
Your truck is your home – you’ll be assigned your own state-of-the-art vehicle, fully equipped for life on the road:
*
Fridge, microwave, and in many cases, TV
*
Fully maintained and personalised – set up your cab your way!
*
The company operates a strict “driver’s truck is his home” philosophy – every vehicle is kept in top condition and serviced regularly
Safety First:

Full specialist PPE provided.
*
Ongoing training and support from one of the most experienced hazardous materials transport teams in the country.

Operate under strict HSE and ADR compliance – safety is at the heart of everything you do.
The Rewards:

£42,000 per annum (based on 50-hour week)
*
£55.00 per night out (part taxable / part tax-free)
*
Average annual earnings with nights away payments and overtime exceed £60,000!
*
Weekly pay during your 10-week temp period – paid every Friday
*
Permanent contract upon successful completion
