Job Description
HGV class 1 drivers
Various shifts - 4-on/4-off or 5-on /3-off
Various start times (Apply online only) or (Apply online only))
£200 - £224 per shift
Our client is looking to recruit HGV class 1 drivers for store delivery runs (1 - 2 per shift). The rota will be 4 days on, 4 days off or 5 days on, 3 off. You will need to be flexible with store deliveries
* Daily vehicle walk round checks and defect reporting
* Driving to tacho rules and road regulations
* 1-2 deliveries per shift
* Ambient and chilled trailers
* Ensuring loads are safe and secure
* This does involve the use of pallet trucks to load and unload vehicles - on to loading bays
* Professional and courteous at customer sites
* Completion of all paperwork and delivery documentation
* Liaise with the transport office - communicate any issues in real time
* Safe manual handling practices
Driver requirements:
* Over 23 years of age (for insurance purposes)
* Maximum of 6 points, no majors (CD, DR, IN, DG, TT)
* 2 years of driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles
