Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting a FLEXIBLE and experienced HGV Class 1 driver for an ongoing position with a well-established logistics operation.
You must be willing and able to work across both day and night shifts on a rota or as required. This position offers ongoing work with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate after a successful probation period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driving Class 1 vehicles for deliveries, trunking, or collections
* Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods
* Completing all required paperwork and logs accurately
* Performing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
* Maintaining a safe, courteous, and professional approach at all times
* Complying with all driver regulations, company procedures, and legal requirements
* You must be willing and able to cover night shifts as required and to cover driver holidays.
Requirements:
* Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) licence
* Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Flexibility to work both day and night shifts, and to drive both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles
* No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no DD, DR, IN convictions)
* A minimum of 6 months’ experience in both Class 1 and Class 2 driving (preferred)
* A strong work ethic and good level of reliability
Desirable Attributes:
* Good geographical knowledge of UK roads
* Experience with both trunking and multidrop work
* A team-player attitude and willingness to adapt to different types of runs

* Hourly rate of £15.50, increasing to £16.00 after probation
