Job Description
HGV Class 1 Driver – Skip Driver (Temp to Perm)
Location: Barnsley
Shift Patter: Monday – Friday (Days)
Salary: £15.50 basic - £17.37 including advanced holiday pay (£26.06 overtime)
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our client as a Skip Driver located in Barnsley. No prior skip-specific experience is required as full training will be provided.
Our client is a leading provider of industrial materials, committed to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate a Class 1 HGV to collect and deliver skips safely
* Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures.
* Ensure goods and materials are handled and transported securely
* Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with the team
What we are looking for:
* Valid HGV Class 1 license
* Minimum 1 years – Class 1 experience
* Willingness to learn skip handling and company-specific procedures
* Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability
* Excellent communication skills
