Job Description

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Logistics team in Tilbury, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available

4 on 4 off Shifts (Start times between 00:00 - 03:00, 14:00 - 17;00, 15:00 – 18:00 or 18:00 – 21:00)
5 on 3 off Shifts (Start times between 00:00 - 03:00, 14:00 - 17;00, 15:00 – 18:00 or 18:00 – 21:00)We offer flexibility in shift patterns and other shift patterns can be considered, let us know what you’re looking for, we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Pay rates

4 on 4 off - £(phone number removed) basic salary
5 on 3 off - £(phone number removed) basic salaryOur HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with shift allowances premiums and the opportunity for overtime, drivers have the potential to earn up £52680 with OTE.

What you’ll be doing:

Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres
Drivers interested in Night shift will predominately be supporting our trunking operation to Culina Sites
No Cage work or Tipping
Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
No Planned Night Outs 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

Valid C+E Licence.
Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
Minimum 3 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience required
No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.

Premiums:
£1,000/year for working every Saturday or Sunday
£2,000/year if you work both
£10 per shift (starts between 12:00–19:59)
£15 per shift (starts between 20:00–03:59)
Compensation pay after 11 hours
