Job Description

BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across all UK.

Our client, a major company based in Harlow, is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis. Both day and night trunking shifts are available.

Key Responsibilities for HGV Class 1 Driver:

  * Carry out HGV Class 1 trunking work safely and efficiently.

  * Complete scheduled trunking runs between designated locations.

  * Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.

  * Ensure all journeys are completed in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.

  * Complete relevant delivery and vehicle documentation accurately.

  * Comply with drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.

  * Maintain professional communication with depot staff, customers and other road users.

  * Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

  * Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Shift & Benefits

Requirements for HGV Class 1 Driver:

  * Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.

  * Minimum 6 years' driving experience in the UK.

  * Minimum age of 21 years.

  * Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).

  * Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

  * Maximum of 6 points on your driving licence.

  * Previous HGV Class 1 experience is preferred.

  * Good communication skills.

  * Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
