Job Description
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent work and a supportive team? Join a well-established logistics company in Basingstoke, transporting a variety of goods across the region.
This full-time, permanent role is ideal if you value stability, competitive pay, and a professional environment.
You’ll be handling general haulage tasks, making timely deliveries to customer sites. With ad-hoc shifts available from Thursday to Monday (including weekends), you can enjoy flexibility while earning a great hourly rate.
What you’ll do:
* Transport goods safely and efficiently to various locations
* Load and unload goods, ensuring all items are secure
* Complete daily vehicle checks before and after each shift
* Maintain compliance with road safety regulations and company procedures
* Accurately complete all relevant delivery and collection documentation
* Deliver excellent customer service at every drop-off and collection
* Assist with route planning to ensure efficient deliveries and minimise delays
What you’ll need:
* Full UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
* Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC certification
* At least 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience
* No more than 6 points on your licence (no DD, DR, or IN endorsements)
* Ability to work independently and maintain high safety standards
Pay & Shifts:
* £24.00 per hour
* Day shifts, Thursday to Monday (including weekends)
* Ad-hoc opportunities available
