Job Description
We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Haydock, St. Helens. Whether you're looking for weekday or weekend shifts, days or nights, we have flexible options available to suit your schedule.
You will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries with a focus on safety, time management, and vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate Class 1 vehicles.
* Conduct depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
* Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
* Accurately complete all delivery paperwork or electronic documentation.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
* Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.
* Adhere to Drivers hours, Tachograph, and road safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
* Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
* Strong knowledge of drivers hours, WTD legislation, and tachograph rules.
* Ability to carry out necessary vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
* A minimum of 12 months recent HGV driving experience required.
* No more than 6 penalty points
* No DR, DD or IN convictions
* Good communication and reliability
Shift Availability:
* HGV Class 1 Monday to Friday – Days & Nights
* HGV Class 1 Saturday & Sunday – Days & Nights
