Location: LS14 1NG, Leeds

Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00
Start Date: Immediate (Monday start)
Venatu Recruitment Group are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in LS14 1NG, who are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join their team.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires proficiency in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a keen understanding of delivery logistics.
The Role:
* Driving Class 1 vehicles on a flatbed trailer – experience with flatbeds is essential
* Day work only – no nights out
* Delivering goods to clients safely and on time
* Adhering to all driving laws and health & safety regulations
Requirements:
* Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* Flatbed experience essential
* No more than 6 penalty points – no IN10s
* Valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Duties
* Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all goods are transported safely to their destination.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed driving.
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
