Job Description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Doncater area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Shifts across a 24-hour operation, Monday to Sunday (choose your own start windows). 11-hour shifts on average.
Pay Rates (2 payment options):
* PAYE: £155 per day midweek, £173 per day on weekends
* Rolled up: £170 per day midweek, £190 per day on weekends
Location: Doncaster, DN6.
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
* As part of a 24/7 operation, you’ll be trunking trailers for major parcel companies.
* Covering routes predominantly from the Northwest to Nuneaton/Rugby and Dundee etc.
* Flexible start times with month-in-advance bookings.
* Average 11-hour shifts.
* Ongoing work with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
* Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with customers.
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* Proven experience driving the relevant vehicle (assessments available for those with limited/no experience).
* Maximum of 6 penalty points on your driving licence (minor offences only).
* Ability to work independently and efficiently on long-haul runs.
* Reliable, professional, and committed to high safety standards
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Excellent communication skills.
