Job Description:
We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for regular, ongoing work with immediate starts available. This role involves the delivery of general haulage items, with 3 to 6 drops per day, working from Monday to Friday, with a start time of 6:00 AM or 18:00 PM until the deliveries are completed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers looking to secure long-term work in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle in compliance with UK driving laws and company procedures
* Complete 3 to 6 drops per day, delivering a variety of general haulage items to commercial or industrial clients long haul driving
* Perform pre-use vehicle checks and report any defects in accordance with company policy
* Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service
* Accurately complete paperwork, including delivery notes and daily logs
* Follow all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
* Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers when required
Requirements:
* Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
* Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* A good understanding of Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
* Strong timekeeping and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and professionally
* Physically fit and able to complete manual handling as required
* Newly qualified drivers are welcome and encouraged to apply – full support provided
