Job Description
HGV Class 1 Driver
Working Monday to Friday days your role will include multi drop and full load deliveries running out of Peterborough
HGV Class 1 Driver duties are as follows:
* Carry out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.
* Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety.
* Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.
* Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print.
* Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times
* Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.
* Attend essential training when required
* Provide excellent customer service
* Maintain the cleanliness of the cab
* Assist with yard or other ad-hoc duties in line with the needs of the business
* There may be the occasional (rare) night out if required.
HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements:
* C+E licence (1 year experience required)
* ADR Class 9 (preferred but not essential as training can be provided)
HGV Class 1 Driver Benefits:
