Job Summary
We are actively looking for HGV Class 1 day and night drivers for our reputable logistics client.
Night work, shift times 18:00-06:00
Day work, shift times, 07:00-17:00
Monday to Friday work pattern, ongoing temp work.
Curtain-sider palletised deliveries
Responsibilities
* Operate a class 1 articulated lorry to transport goods to various locations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
* Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency.
* Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
* Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
* Obtain a HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* Minimum 1 years UK experience on HGV Class 1
* No more than 3 points or endorsements (We do not accept TT99, DR10, IN10).
* Valid and in date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
* Able to work nights and follow a rota
Excellent pay rates £18.00-£20.00 per hour
