Job Description
A well-established business based in Washington is looking for several HGV Class 1 Drivers to work in the run up to Christmas. There will be ongoing work beyond the festive period for good, flexible drivers.
They require drivers for a variety of AM and PM starts as well as nights out. You will be working Thursday to Monday and are guaranteed a minimum of 11hrs/shift, with guaranteed shifts available.
Rates of pay:
Monday-Friday, first 8 hours: £14.73
Mon-Friday, after 8 hours: £18.45
Saturday, all hours: £19.45
Sunday, all hours: £22.83
Based on a 12-hour shift working Thursday-Monday, this works out at £1,146 per week.
What you’ll be doing as HGV Class 1 Driver:
You will be delivering refrigerated goods to RDC’s and collecting produce from food production companies.
What we’re looking for in an HGV Class 1 Driver (due to insurance purposes):
You must have held your licence for 2 years and have 12 months’ driving experience.
You must not have more than 6 points on your licence for minor offences and have no DD/DR etc. showing on your licence.
You will be required to undertake a driving assessment and if successful, a one-day induction. You will be paid between £117.84 and £147.30 for the induction.
