Job Description

HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers – Flexible Driving Work 🚛

🕒 Ad hoc / casual / part-time opportunities

Driver Hire Edinburgh West is looking for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to work with a range of clients across West Lothian.

These flexible opportunities are well suited to drivers looking for work around other commitments, while gaining experience across a variety of industries, vehicles, and assignments.

What We Offer

  * Flexible shifts based on your availability

  * A wide range of vehicles, routes, and driving work

Key Responsibilities

  * Multi-drop and single-drop deliveries and collections
    (including steel, office furniture, food & drink, and construction materials)

  * A–B vehicle movements

  * General haulage and pallet network work

  * Loading and unloading as required

  * Carrying out daily vehicle checks

  * Following all transport, compliance, and health & safety regulations

Driver Requirements

  * Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

  * Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

  * Minimum of 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience

  * Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only)

  * No IN, DD, DR, or CD endorsements

  * Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport legislation

  * Professional, dependable, and flexible attitude

  * Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay Rates
💷 PAYE Basic: £14.50 per hour (holiday pay accrued)
💷 PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
