HGV Class 2 Driver – Plant Equipment Collections & Deliveries

Location: OX14
Salary: £18 - £19 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am – 16:00pm
Job Type: Ongoing / Contract
Driving Licence: HGV Class 2 / Category C

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver

This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 2 Driver / LGV Driver / HGV Driver looking for Monday-to-Friday work

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of plant equipment and access equipment to customers and sites.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  * Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly

  * Collecting and delivering plant and access equipment

  * Completing deliveries and collections to customer sites

  * Loading and securing equipment safely

  * Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys

  * Completing delivery paperwork and documentation

  * Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points

  * Ensuring all loads are transported safely and securely

  * Working closely with the transport and operations team

  * Maintaining a clean and professional vehicle

  * Complying with all relevant transport, health & safety and road traffic regulations

Working Hours

Monday to Friday
06:00am – 16:00pm

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a professional and dependable HGV Class 2 Driver who takes pride in their work and has a strong focus on safety and customer service.

You should have:

  * A valid HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence

  * A valid CPC qualification

  * A valid Digital Tachograph Card

  * Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver

  * Previous experience with plant equipment, construction equipment, access equipment or machinery deliveries is desirable

  * Good knowledge of UK roads

  * A professional attitude and good customer service skills

  * The ability to work independently and manage your daily deliveries and collections

  * Good communication skills

  * A strong safety awareness
