HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Basildon
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Hours: Flexible shifts (between 06:00 – 20:00)
Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a fresh challenge with a respected logistics business? We’re on the lookout for a reliable, safety-conscious, and professional driver to join a fast-paced road freight operation covering London and the South East.
If you’re confident behind the wheel, take pride in your work, and enjoy getting the job done right – this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Driving modern Class 2 vehicles on multi-drop and groupage routes
Making deliveries and collections across London and the South East – including daily service to a key client in E16
Handling tail lift and kerbside deliveries, with some manual work involved
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues quickly
Keeping all paperwork – tacho, timesheets, delivery notes – in check and on time
Making sure every load is safely strapped and secure before hitting the road
What You’ll Bring:
A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, CPC, and Tachograph Card
Previous experience in groupage or multi-drop driving
Great knowledge of London & the South East road network
A hands-on approach – confident using tail lifts, strapping loads, and dealing with physical tasks
A positive attitude, flexible start times, and a strong sense of responsibility
