Are you an early bird looking for a rewarding driving role? Capital Recruitment Group is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers in Manchester for a well-established fresh produce distributor. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and motivated Class 2 drivers seeking full-time, part-time, or weekend-only shifts.
Pay & Shifts
* £18.00 – £22.00 per hour
* Early morning starts – approx. 2:00 AM
* Long shifts, with some runs double-manned depending on workload
* Flexible working patterns: full-time, ad hoc, weekends
Job Overview
As an HGV Class 2 Driver in Manchester, you’ll be delivering chilled goods to business customers across the region. This role involves handballing and physical work, making it ideal for proactive, customer-focused Class 2 drivers.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily vehicle checks before and after shifts
* Follow planned delivery routes and schedules accurately
* Use handheld software to record PODs and capture delivery images
* Deliver goods to fridges/freezers and handle products with care
* Ensure compliance with all road safety, tacho, and legal regulations
* Maintain clear communication with the transport office and customers
* Complete all relevant paperwork and digital downloads post-shift
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 licence
* CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
* Previous experience in Class 2 delivery driving
* Ability to handle physically demanding shifts
* Excellent work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
* Strong communication and customer service skills
