Job Description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Bury St Edmunds area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers (C) to join the team.
Roles:
* HGV Class 2 Days
Shifts:
* One week- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (45hr rest Friday and Saturday)
* Following week- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday (45hr rest Monday and Saturday)
Hours:
* 16:30pm start- typically 02:00am finish
Pay Rate:
* Class 2 Days-£16.13 per hour PAYE
Location: Bury St. Edmunds IP32
Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity of permanent for the right candidate
*Please note this roles start date is for the end of October and you must be available on Sundays*
The role:
· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
· Handling runs (2-3 depending on location), focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
· Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
