Manpower is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C) for a leading logistics company based in Erith. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering a competitive salary, stable hours, and the chance to join a well-established transport operation.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries across planned routes while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles, including double-deck units
Completing scheduled multi-drop deliveries efficiently and safely
Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely
Maintaining delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
Planning routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Complying with all DVSA regulations, tachograph legislation, and health & safety procedures

Requirements

Essential

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
Good knowledge of UK driving regulations and transport legislation
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to carry out manual handling duties
Reliable and professional approach to work

Desirable

Experience driving double-deck vehicles
Logistics or distribution sector experience
