Job Description:
Taskmaster are recruiting an experienced Class 2 Multi Drop Driver to join our client based in Rotherham on a Temp to Perm contract.
Our client are continuing to grow significantly and always keen to attract talented new individuals to join our business.
A valid UK Class 2 licence , valid UK CPC Card and valid UK Tachograph card are needed to apply for this role.
Our driving team work 44 hours a week Monday to Friday only (no weekends). You will be working as an integral part of our team, to help with general depot operations daily.
Basic hours of work are Mon-Thu 7am to 4:30pm & Friday 7am-3:30pm.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* Driving an HGV Vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
* Performing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
* Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured and delivered in a safe manner
* Multi-drop deliveries in the local area
* Manual Handling
* Sorting and preparing an efficient delivery route
* Loading, unloading, and operating vehicles
* Ensuring a first-class level of customer service
* Ensuring compliance with Driver legislation
* Pick, load and dispatch goods
* Maintenance of vehicles
Necessaries:
* This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items
* Valid in-date UK Driving License, UK Driver Qualification Card and UK Digi Card
* No more than 3 points on driving license
* Multi-drop Experience essential (Non palletised goods)
* Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience
