Job Title: Waste and Recycling Level 1 - Driver (Trades & Operatives)
Location: Rhayader, Powys, LD6, United Kingdom
Employment Type: Temporary (52 Weeks)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: 1st July 2025
Pay Rate:

PAYE: £13.46 per hour
*
Limited/Umbrella: £17.10 per hour
About the Role
Optima Plus Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a Waste and Recycling Level 1 Driver to join their dedicated team. About You

You hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence and CPC qualification.

You enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You follow health and safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of yourself and others.
Key Responsibilities
*
Drive and load various waste and recycling collection vehicles, taking full responsibility for the vehicle during shifts.
*
Ensure residents are recycling correctly and provide information where necessary.
*
Unload vehicles safely at transfer stations in compliance with site rules.
*
Report any issues promptly to supervisors to maintain service quality.
*
Support other activities such as bulky waste collections, deliveries, and transfer station duties.
Candidate Requirements
*
Eligible to work in the UK.
*
Valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence.
*
CPC Driving Qualification.
*
Willing to complete confidentiality and criminal conviction declarations upon offer acceptance.
Please note, this role does not require a DBS check.
