Yard hand / HGV Class 2 Driver
Salary = £30,000 OTE - £36.400pa
License: HGV Class 2
Working Hours: 45
Monday-Friday: 08:00-17:30
Location: Wellington
Roles and responsibilities of a Driver / Yard hand:
·To deliver and collect cars and commercial vehicles to and from Customer sites, in a safe manner.
·To carry out mandatory vehicle checks before driving any vehicle to comply with Company policy and procedure and to ensure the vehicles driven are legal and fit prior to driving.
·To carry out condition checks of the vehicles both before collection and following delivery, identifying any damage and where required obtaining photographic evidence of condition.
·To ensure record of work undertaken is accurately recorded on computer systems.
·To complete Defect rectification notes upon finding a fault with a vehicle that may have caused or potentially cause a problem.
·To have a flexible working approach to the deliver and collection of vehicles to and from the depot in a timely manner.
·Taking vehicles for MOT test where requested.
·Collecting parts as requested by the management team.
Skills and Qualifications of a Yard hand:
- Valid class 2 driving licence, enabling safe operation of vehicles within the yard.
- Previous experience in a driving position essential, demonstrating an ability to engage positively with clients.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed efficientlyBefore You Apply
