Job Description
Class 2 drivers required. We are seeking reliable Class 2 drivers to join our team in Doncaster.
We have various shifts but due to the nature of the business you will have to be flexible, shifts operate between 0200hrs and 2200hrs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely collection and delivery.
This is a genuine temp to perm role after successful 12 week probation period, you will be required to complete a standard DBS check prior to going permanent.
Responsibilities
Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Ensure that the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times.
Adhere to company policies and procedures while on the road.
Requirements
Valid HGV Class C Licence.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role; flatbed driving experience is highly desirable.
DQC and CPC card
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transportation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Hourly rate :
£16.81phr PAYE including holiday Pay
£14.30phr PAYE + 28 Days Holiday
