Job Description
Class 2 Driver – Waste Collection
Rate: £15.76 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00am starts, minimum 40 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate (no ADR codes on license)
We’re looking for a reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team, working in waste collection across both city centres and rural areas.
Requirements
Must have:
*
A valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
*
Full understanding of Tachograph use and current Tachograph Regulations.
*
Knowledge of current EU Drivers’ Hours regulations.
*
Strong customer service focus.
*
Ability to follow instructions and excellent interpersonal skills.
*
Previous waste industry experience is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
*
Carry out daily vehicle walk-round checks and complete defect sheets.
*
Drive a waste collection vehicle in varied environments.
*
Move and empty waste containers to and from the vehicle.
*
Keep vehicles maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
*
Always operate in a safe and compliant manner.
