Job Description
HGV Driver
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Drivers (Class 1 / C+E) on behalf of a large nationwide bakery business based in Wednesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Driver seeking ongoing work with excellent pay and a modern fleet.
As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering bakery products to RDC depots across the UK. Shifts are available on days, nights, and weekends, with start times to suit your availability. The role involves clean and straightforward trunking work with some handball, and shift lengths average 10–12 hours per day.
HGV Driver Requirements:
*
Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
*
No more than 6 points on license (no DD/DR/IN codes)
*
Valid CPC & Digi Tacho card
Pay Rates (First 12 Weeks):
*
Days: £15.00/hr
*
Nights: £16.00/hr
*
Overtime paid at premium rates after 39 hours once 12 weeks are completed

Sat: £23.45
*
Sun: £31.26
*
Bank Hols: £46.89
