HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Driver - Permanent PositionLocation: Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester
 Salary: £32,011.20 - £48,800 per annum  Overtime & Benefits
 Hours: 40 hours per week
 Schedule: Early starts (04:00-06:00), Monday to Friday rota
 Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, family-run meat distribution business seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (CE) and Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles on nationwide delivery routes
Load and unload meat carcass products where required
Complete deliveries efficiently and in line with scheduled times
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness
Complete all delivery documentation accurately and on time
Provide excellent customer service when delivering to customers nationwide
Adhere to all transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and company procedures
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Support the wider transport operation as requiredWhat We're Looking For
Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 12 months' HGV driving experience preferred
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
Flexible approach to early starts and nationwide routes
Excellent understanding of driver hours and transport compliance
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Positive attitude and professional appearanceSalary & Benefits
Annual salary from £32,011.20 to £48,800
Overtime paid at £22.50 per hour
£50 performance bonus opportunities
£26.20 tax-free night out allowance
Regular Monday to Friday working pattern
