HGV DRIVER
My client is looking for HGV Drivers - Class 1 & 2 in Purfleet Essex area!!
Location of the HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV Class 2 Driver / HGV Truck Driver: Purfleet Essex
Salary of the HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV Class 2 Driver / HGV Truck Driver: £17.50ph plus overtime
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00am start - 8 hours a day - optional Saturday
My client is looking for HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers to join their company in the Purfleet Essex area. This role is UK only (mainly London and surrounding areas) and you will be home every night.
Main Purpose for the HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV Class 2 Driver / HGV Truck Driver:
The role is to load palletised products (Food and Drink) and deliver them to the companies’ customers. As customer facing representatives of the company, they are looking for courteous and dedicated driver to join the team to deliver goods in and around the London area.
Job Role and Requirements for the HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV Class 2 Driver / HGV Truck Driver:
Complete daily walk around checks to a high standard.
Secure loads in line with the DVSA Guidance to Securing loads on HGVs and goods vehicles.
Be fully compliant and up to date with your Certificate of Professional Competence and Tachograph legislation expectations.
At all times adhere to H&S regulations, including when operating the vehicles, loading, and unloading.
As a professional driver be responsible for the vehicle and its load and to undertake your role with safety as your priority.
Deliver goods as and when required by the manager within your working day.
Be available for the full 15-hour day allowance.
Be responsible for and maintain the cleanliness of the companies’ vehicles.
Where a driver has a Class 1 License, from time to time you may be expected to drive a Class 2 Vehicle as and when requested.
Demonstrate commitment to the values of the company.
Have an excellent work ethic, be reliable and maintain good time keeping.
Be open to the change of delivery schedules.
Be civil and courteous to colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
Maintain a standard of dress and personal hygiene acceptable to the company.
To ensure a proficient level of communication and understanding you must have a good standard of verbal and written English and be an active listener.
Be able to complete the relevant paperwork required for the role.
Must have the relevant licence for the category of vehicle driven with a maximum of 6 points.
Experience of at least 3 years of driving the class of vehicle preferred but not essential.
