Job Description
We are recruiting for HGV Class 1 & HGV 2 drivers for our client near Cannock.
The Role:
As a member of our driving team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods to customers .
Your duties will include:
* Driving a modern, well-maintained vehicle .
* Performing multi-drop or trunking deliveries, depending on the route.
* Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation (e.g., digital PODs, vehicle checks).
* Conducting thorough daily vehicle defect checks and reporting any issues promptly.
* Ensuring full compliance with drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
* Representing the client in a professional manner at all times.
What We Offer Our Drivers:
* Excellent Pay: £15.20ph
* Regular hours: basic 40 hours per week Between 08:00 and 13:00 Monday to Friday. (no weekend work)
* Consistent, Planned Work: Guaranteed hours and regular routes.
* Opportunities for overtime available.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
* A valid Driver CPC card.
* A valid Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on your licence.
* Previous experience in a similar Class 1 driving role.
* A strong focus on safety and professionalism.
* Excellent knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations.
* The right to work in the UK.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
* Experience using hand-held terminals for PODs.
We are looking to recruit a number of Class 2 (Cat C) drivers for our client based in the Cannock area.
Start times ranging from
08:00 to 10:00
This will include driving Class 2 vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To undertake daily checks of the vehicle as detailed on Defect Report.
- To deliver load / pallets to customers as detailed on Load Sheet (with Delivery Notes)
- To obtain proof of delivery from each customer by obtaining a signature on Hand-held terminal.
- To collect loads / pallets according to daily Collection Sheet.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You will have previous experience of driving Curtain Side /Tail Lift vehicles.
- Previous experience of local multi- drop deliveries.
- No more than 6 points.
- Current Drivers CPC
- Knowledge of Staffordshire / West Midlands postcode areas. WV & WS.
You must also have a range of personal skills and attributes including;

- Have good Health and Safety awareness
- Good verbal communication and inter-personal skills both face to face and on telephone
