HGV Driver Vacancy (Late Shift) - Derby Commercial Dealership
Basic Salary: £29,000 (£13.06 an hour)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm - 11:00am
Fridays: 1:30pm - 9:00pm
Overtime opportunities, paid at 1.5x rate We are working with a well-established commercial vehicle dealer who is seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Driver to join their busy Aftersales team on a late shift.
Working as part of a professional and supportive environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles, contributing to the high standards of service that customers expect.
Responsibilities as a HGV Driver:
Collecting and delivering customer vehicles (vans and trucks) in a timely and professional manner
Organising the yard and maintaining the correct order of customer vehicles
Ensuring the right vehicles are available for Technicians to work on at the appropriate time
Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any issues or concerns
Providing a helpful and professional service to customers and colleagues
Supporting the wider Aftersales team where requiredRequirements for the HGV Driver role:
HGV C+E (Class 1) licence – Essential
Previous HGV driving experience – Essential
Experience within a commercial vehicle or transport environment
Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated with a positive attitude
Able to work effectively both on your own and as part of a teamBenefits for the Successful HGV Driver:
£29,000 basic salary
Overtime paid at time and a half
