HGV Driver / Warehouse Assistant – Temporary
Glasgow (G51) | Temporary | Full Time | £13.25 – £14.50 per hour DOE
Are you a skilled HGV driver looking for your next role with a well-established Glasgow business? We’re looking for a dependable, professional HGV Driver to join us on a temporary basis, combining delivery driving with hands-on warehouse support.

Clyde Paper & Print is a family-owned business based in Glasgow, supplying digital printing papers, corporate print and luxury presentation packaging to clients across the UK. We’ve been going since 1977 and our team takes real pride in the service we provide. Based near the River Clyde, our 22,000 sq. ft. warehouse is a busy, friendly environment where everyone plays an important part.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied position. Your primary responsibility will be driving our HGV on multi-drop deliveries to deliver and collect goods, but when you’re not on the road you’ll be a key part of the warehouse team – picking orders, checking stock, helping unload deliveries and keeping things running smoothly. No two days will be exactly the same.
You will:
Drive our HGV safely and professionally to deliver and collect goods
Complete all driver documentation, tachograph records and daily vehicle checks
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
Assist with incoming deliveries, stock replenishment and stock takes
Keep the warehouse tidy, safe and well-organised
Represent Clyde Paper & Print professionally with every customer you meet
What We’re Looking For
Valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence – essential
Aged 25 or over – essential (insurance requirement)
Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card – essential
Clean or near-clean driving licence
Previous HGV driving experience in a commercial setting
Physically fit with a willingness to get stuck into warehouse tasks
Reliable, punctual and a great team player
Forklift licence a bonus, but not essential
The Details
Hours: Flexible start times available (e.g. from 7:00am) – Mon–Thu 06:30–16:00 | Fri 06:30–15:00 (30 mins unpaid lunch)
Contract: Temporary – Start ASAP, finishing 3rd July 2025, with potential for ad-hoc days thereafter
