Sittingbourne
Full-time | Permanent | £20–£23 per hour DOE

Our client, a leading independent reputable company, is seeking an experienced HGV Fitter to join their skilled team at their modern workshop in Sittingbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and qualified fitter to work with a large, diverse fleet of HGVs, keeping vehicles compliant, safe, and fully operational.
Key responsibilities:
* Diagnose faults and repair HGVs, trailers, and fleet equipment
* Complete preventative maintenance and service tasks
* Perform road tests and emergency call-outs when needed
* Accurately maintain service records and paperwork
* Follow H&S procedures and ensure safe workshop practices
What we’re looking for:
* NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
* HGV Class 1 licence with CPC (desirable)
* Experience in a workshop/HGV fitter environment
* Knowledge of DAF trucks or waste sector vehicles is a plus
* Strong communication and time management skills
Shift options:
* Days: 6:30am–5pm (Saturdays on rota)
* Nights: 4pm–12am, Monday to Friday
