Position: HGV Mechanic
Location: Lancaster Area
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable transport business in the Lancaster area, for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team on a permanent basis. The Role:
As an HGV Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You will be working on a range of heavy goods vehicles, carrying out both routine maintenance and more complex repairs.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance on HGVs
*
Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
*
Diagnose faults using appropriate tools and equipment
*
Carry out repairs including brakes, clutches, suspension, and other mechanical components
*
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes
*
Maintain accurate records of work carried out
*
Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times
*
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician
*
Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs
*
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
*
A proactive and reliable approach to work
*
Relevant qualifications (preferred but not essential depending on experience)
