HGV + Operative

Located in Carlisle
Permanent, Full-time
£29,696 base salary + Overtime package available

We're recruiting an HGV Driver/Operative who's happy to take on a mix of driving and practical fieldwork. If you have experience with HGV Class 1/2 and/or groundworks or similar site-based duties and enjoy problem-solving you could be a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Operating tankers and other company vehicles (HGV/Class 2)
 * High-pressure water jetting and spill clean-up work
 * Groundworks, remedial tasks and tank uplifts
 * Installing, servicing and inspecting tanks/interceptors
 * Handling spill response and industrial cleaning activities
 * Assisting emergency response teams when required
 * Working towards relevant industry accreditations (including utility & rail standards)

What We Need From You:

* HGV Class 1/2 licence (ADR beneficial but not essential)
 * Familiarity with RAMS documentation
 * Understanding of Tacho use and vehicle checks (training available)
 * A flexible, proactive approach - overtime and call-outs form part of the role
 * Experience in multi-skilled or trade-based work (plant operation advantageous)
 * Willingness to work away from home on occasion - travel and accommodation provided
