HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver

Location: Breckland IP25 6JB

Pay Rate: £15.52 per hour

Job Type: Full Time | Temp to Perm | Immediate Starts Available

Working Hours

Monday to friday 5.45am - 2.15pm (38 hours per week)
Regular overtime available (Saturday paid at T/12, Sunday paid at double time)
Task and Finish role - once your route and duties are completed, you can finish for the day while still being paid for your full scheduled shift

Adecco are currently recruiting for HGV Refuse & Recycling Drivers to work on assignment with our client

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Environmental Services team delivering essential waste and recycling services to local residents and businesses across the borough. Following a successful 12-week assignment, there is the opportunity to become a permanent employee with our client.

Working alongside a dedicated team of Loaders, you'll help keep communities clean, safe and environmentally responsible while providing excellent customer service.

The Role

As an HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver, you will:

Drive a pre-planned collection route alongside your team of Loaders.
Collect waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before commencing your route.
Ensure your vehicle is clean, safe and ready for work each day.
Act as a professional representative of the Environmental Services team within the local community.
Work safely and efficiently to meet operational targets and service standards.
Support your team to deliver an efficient and reliable collection service.What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will:

Hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence.
Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
Be reliable, hardworking and safety conscious.
Be physically fit due to the nature of the role.
Have a positive attitude and excellent team-working skills.
Be willing to support colleagues and go the extra mile to ensure routes are completed successfully.
Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.Benefits
