Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Operating a skip lorry (HGV Class 2) to transport skips to and from customer locations.
Delivering and collecting skips to both commercial and domestic customers.
Securing skips on the vehicle and unloading them at designated sites, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
Conducting daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects, and maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Safely navigating urban and rural areas, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers, and addressing any concerns or issues.
Completing necessary paperwork, including delivery and collection notes, and maintaining accurate records.
Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations, including those related to driving, waste management, and site safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid HGV Class 2 license:
Driver CPC qualification
A clean driving licence
Physical fitness: The job can involve some physical activity, such as loading and unloading skips.
Good communication and interpersonal skills: Effective communication with customers and colleagues is important.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and waste management procedures: This is essential for safe and efficient operation.
Hours and Salary
Monday - Friday, 50 hours per week
